Indiana man shot in the face while working on stranded vehicleSummary: Glenn Rightsell of Crawfordsville Indiana called police Dispatch to let them know he was going to be working on his daughters stranded SUV alongside 231 North in Montgomery County.While under the hood working, Indiana State Police Trooper Daniel Organ pulled up, claimed to fear for his life, and shot at Glenn Rightsell at least six times striking him once in the face. Glenn Rightsell had a concealed carry permit, and was carrying a legal handgun which was holstered under his shirt. There are photos of the SUV with bullet holes through the fender & hood.A homeowner across the road started videoing a minute or so after hearing gunshots. That video is on YouTube.Trooper Organ did not have a body cam, as the Indiana State Police do not issue them due to being too expensive.Minutes later several local / county officers show up, who apparently have body cams. The video below is the released 12 minutes that Glenn Rightsell did Not receive medical attention, and was made to crawl like an animal on the ground. He was Not transported by ambulance but rather by squad car. He was not combative nor did he resist any commands.Glenn Rightsell died shortly later.Indiana State Police investigated themselves. No wrongdoing. Montgomery County Prosecutor found no wrongdoing. Trooper Organ is still employed and assigned to another county.In the months following the shooting, dozens of people came forward with experiences of Daniel Organ. Belligerent & hostile behavior . Threatening motorists. Verbally abusive to anyone & everyone.
